Key responsibilities
- Preparing regular operational reports for GATX Rail Europe management (technical area)
- Conducting the planning processes for budgets and forecasts including costs analysis (wagons maintenance)
- Reviewing and interpreting variations delivering meaningful analysis to translate these into actionable responses on business performance (monthly and yearly analysis of maintenance and repairs of wagons)
- Preparing maintenance schedules for our wagon fleet on a quarterly basis
- Focusing on understanding & solving business challenges through data-based insights, performing forward-looking ad-hoc analysis
- Providing a professional controlling service to the management team and technical teams including development of customized new reports & operational analysis
- Participating in projects regarding controlling - IT systems (e.g. Power BI) and processes improvements
We expect from you
- Minimum 3 years of experience in controlling or business analysis area in an international environment
- Master degree in studies with the focus on finance/controlling/data analysis
- Strong capability to digest complex information, see trends and analysis through data
- Excellent Office Package skills (advanced Excel & Access is the must)
- Good knowledge of SAP (SAP-BW) and Power BI
- Excellent English skills
- Performance-driven way of working with an eye for details
- Self-reliance and proactive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Capability to handle end to end responsibilities, with a hands-on approach to work, able to question the status quo and look for unknown solutions
